Chancel Choir 
Sings most Sundays and rehearses every Thursday at 7:30 pm.

Bell Choir 
Ron Johanson, director: This group plays 2nd Sundays and rehearses Thursdays at 6:30 pm.

Brass group 
Bill Wiley and Gregg Field, directors: This group plays most 4th Sundays as well as special events. They rehearse Tuesdays at 7:00 pm.

Sojourners (men’s gospel group) 
Bill Wiley and Lee Huffman, directors: They sing on 3rd Sundays and rehearse  
Sundays at 4:00 pm.

Celebration Singers (grades 7 - 12) 
They sing on 2nd Sundays and they rehearse Sundays at 5:30 pm. This group has a band and sings contemporary music.

Rainbows (grades 3-6) 
They rehearse every other Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Sunshine Singers (grades 1 & 2)  
Sam and Fe Balaoing, directors: They rehearse every other Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Butterflies (PreK – Kindergarten) 
Yvonne Brooks, director: They rehearse every other Sunday at 6:30.

Flute Ensemble  
This group is in its third year and will play every 2 or 3 months.

Music Ministries at BUMC

BUMC continues to have and nurture a rich musical tradition.  More than 100 children, youth and adults help lead worship through music ministry! 
Here are the principles that guide music ministry at BUMC:

• Music is an important element of worship.
• Diversity in musical styles is a good thing!
• Anyone can participate, regardless of skill level or experience.  There’s a place for you!
• We sing together, as Christians have always done.  It helps bring us together –and it’s healthy!
